Job summary
We are looking for a Senior Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy team at our North Bristol CDC, a state-of-the-art facility that opened last year and has quickly become our busiest site, operating four Endoscopy rooms and delivering exceptional patient care.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Endoscopy Nurse who is ready to take the next step in their career. Previous experience as a Senior Nurse is not essential; however, you must have experience working as a Nurse in Charge within Endoscopy and hold the relevant competencies. Comprehensive support and mentorship will be provided throughout your transition into the role, alongside guidance from our experienced Senior Nursing team.
Main duties of the job
Deliver high-quality endoscopy care to patients, including pre-, peri-, and post-procedure care.Lead teams of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Support Workers, providing clinical guidance and escalating concerns when appropriate.Ensure endoscopy services are delivered to the highest standards of patient safety and care.Complete and support competency assessments.Maintain effective communication with patients, relatives, and members of the multidisciplinary team.Create and maintain a safe clinical environment, including room preparation, equipment management, and strict infection prevention and control practices.Take ownership of all required statutory and mandatory training requirements.

About the Role
This is a full-time position, working four days per week between 8:00am and 6:00pm. Flexibility is required across Monday to Sunday to support the needs of the service.
The role is primarily based at North Bristol CDC. As part of your development and ongoing support, you may also have opportunities to work across our other sites. Bristol is home to our training academy, offering excellent opportunities for professional development, career progression, and further training.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about patient care and ready to help lead a thriving Endoscopy service.
You will have:
Registration as a Nurse with a Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Higher Education in Nursing (or equivalent). Significant Endoscopy experience, including experience working as a Nurse in Charge. Experience working effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build confidence and trust at all levels. A positive, supportive, and collaborative approach to teamwork. The ability to remain calm, organised, and effective in a fast-paced environment.
