The role involves assisting the Chef de Partie in various kitchen tasks and supporting all chefs to manage and deliver catering services. It includes participating in resident meetings to discuss and agree on catering functions and preparing high-standard nutritional food in line with agreed mealtimes. Special diet meals are also prepared as needed, ensuring dietary requirements and cultural preferences are respected. ABOUT THE ROLE

Other responsibilities will include:

Supporting all chefs to manage and deliver all catering services throughout the home, ensuring resident choice, dignity, confidentiality, and safety are maintained. Participating in meetings with residents and Heads of Departments to discuss and agree on catering functions across the home and address residents' special needs or dietary requirements. This must include knowledge of cultural and religious preferences. Preparing nutritional food and beverages to a high standard, as directed by the Chefs, promptly and in accordance with agreed mealtimes. Preparing special diet meals as needed and as directed by the Chefs.

Hold a catering qualification such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ or equivalent. Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. Have a minimum of 1-year catering experience.
