Who you are:
The FOH Shift Lead works closely with the Restaurant Management team to ensure that we offer phenomenal service and hospitality to all guests. The goal of this role is to guide the Server and Support teams with their daily tasks and ensure thoughtful and efficient completion of these tasks.
What you'll do:
• Consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality
• Foster a collaborative, respectful, and accountable work environment. Encourage teamwork, recognize strong performance, and help maintain positive morale throughout each shift
• Assist with training team members, reinforcing operational standards, and promoting consistency through routine audits and coaching opportunities
• Assist with welcoming and creating exceptional experiences for VIPs, and provide outstanding hospitality to each guest – responding promptly, professionally, and with empathy
• Keep managers informed of significant guest feedback or situations requiring escalation
• Complete and update required operational reports accurately and in a timely manner to ensure clear communication between shifts and management
• Partner with managers during team checkout by verifying side work completion, maintaining accountability, and ensuring the shift concludes efficiently while promoting teamwork. Silverware is a team task
• Participate in bi weekly meetings with managers to discuss service performance, team development, operational opportunities, guest feedback, and areas for continuous improvement
• Support on the floor, and assist with the smooth execution of daily service by anticipating operational needs and identifying opportunities for improvement and helping implement solutions
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, ambiance, and guest readiness throughout service
What we need from you:
• Experience in a guest-facing restaurant role preferred, but not necessary
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
• Ability to balance & carry multiple plates, glass racks and or/glasses, and lift objects up to 30 lbs.
• English fluency and additional languages preferred, but not required
