Harrison Meadows Country Club, located in Harrison, NY, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Guest Service Attendant! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)
Compensation:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Summary: The Guest Service Attendant is an all-around position that assists in many departments of the golf operations. Day-to-day duties will vary depending on the busyness of the day, what needs to be done, and which areas of golf operations need additional assistance. Individuals should have the ability to work in a fun, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepares and cleans golf carts for play following the standards of Harrison Meadows CC.
• Performs range maintenance such as setting up and maintaining range and chipping green presentation, managing range ball inventory, and picking up and cleaning range balls.
• Maintains the cart staging area in a neat and orderly fashion, including the podium and bag drop area.
• Provides sincere and courteous service to all guests with items such as bag handling and club cleaning.
• Maintains the cart storage area and cart washdown area in a neat, clean, and orderly condition.
• May direct the start of play, which includes assisting in educating players regarding course policy, current cart policy, speed of play, and other related guidelines.
• Cleans golfers' clubs upon completion of play.
• Completes the daily project list.
• Assists in the setup and execution of golf tournaments and outings.
• Assists customers renting golf clubs and cleans rental clubs upon return. Maintains accurate records of golfers renting clubs.
• Assists with the overall upkeep of the clubhouse, cart storage area, and parking lot.
• Assists with food and beverage activities.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g., the associates may be required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
Education and Experience:
• Less than a high school education; or up to one month of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working Conditions:
• Frequently stands, walks, uses hands, and talks or hears.
• Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, or crouches.
• Regularly lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
Environment/Noise:
• Regularly works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather).
• Occasionally works in areas with moving mechanical parts; may come into contact with fumes, airborne particles, or toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions.
Certificates/Licenses: Valid Driver's License.
