Job Summary As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and coordination of mechanical systems for mission-critical data centers and other high-performance facilities across the U.S. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers to develop innovative HVAC and mechanical system designs that meet stringent reliability, redundancy, and energy-efficiency standards. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed mechanical and HVAC designs, calculations, and construction documents for mission-critical facilities. Perform system design and equipment selection for chilled water, air handling, and cooling systems. Coordinate with electrical, structural, and controls disciplines to deliver integrated design solutions. Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and contractor RFI responses. Support field reviews and commissioning activities to ensure design intent and performance requirements are met. Apply relevant codes and standards including ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, IMC, and local building codes. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define scope, schedule, and technical requirements. Contribute to continuous process improvement and mentor junior staff where applicable. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution (Master's preferred). 3+ years of experience in HVAC and mechanical system design, preferably in mission-critical, data center, or high-tech facilities. Strong understanding of mechanical system redundancy, energy efficiency, and load diversity principles. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and HVAC design tools such as HAP, TRACE 700, or similar. Working knowledge of CFD analysis, energy modeling, or sustainability design practices is a plus. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. EIT certification required; PE license (or ability to obtain within 12 months) strongly preferred. Authorized to work in the United States.
