The Supplier Lifecycle Specialist is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of Rumpke's supplier relationships, from initial onboarding through ongoing compliance management and supplier maintenance. This position serves as the primary point of contact for suppliers throughout the onboarding process, ensuring all required documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities of Position:

• Lead the end-to-end supplier onboarding process for new and legacy suppliers within SAP Ariba

• Guide suppliers through registration, profile completion, and system navigation

• Review, validate, and maintain supplier documentation, including: Certificates of Insurance, W9, Worker's Comp, Contacts

• Verify supplier information for accuracy, completeness and compliance with company standards and purchasing requirements

• Monitor supplier compliance by tracking expiration dates and following up to obtain updated insurance certificates, tax documents, and other required records before they expire

• Conduct periodic supplier re-evaluations to ensure continued compliance with insurance, tax, legal, and regulatory requirements

• Process and verify updated Certificates of Insurance when suppliers renew or modify coverage

• Maintain accurate supplier records and update contact information, legal entities, and business information as changes occur

• Troubleshoot supplier onboarding, registration, and compliance issues while providing timely support to suppliers and internal stakeholders

• Generate, analyze, and distribute supplier reports within SAP Ariba to monitor onboarding progress, compliance status, and supplier data

• Educate newly approved suppliers on Rumpke's purchasing processes, including purchase order requirements, invoicing procedures, payment expectations, and applicable terms and conditions

• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve issues related to invoices, purchase orders, legal entity changes, payment requirements, and supplier records

• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve supplier onboarding processes to enhance efficiency and the overall supplier experience

• Support the continued development of Rumpke's internal supplier onboarding program while reducing reliance on third-party onboarding services

• Provide SAP Ariba training and guidance to internal stakeholders as needed

• Perform other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility:

• This position will not manage employees

• This position will not oversee and direct other managers

Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:

• Understanding of supplier compliance requirements (Certificates of Insurance, Tax Documentation, Risk Indicators)

• Exhibit strong computer skills, proficient in Windows applications, Microsoft Excel, Teams and Outlook

• Ability to track and manage onboarding status and vendor compliance across a high volume of vendors

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally

• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and well as collaboratively across all departments

• Ability to manage multiple onboarding processes simultaneously

Experience & Knowledge Needed for Position:

• 3-4 years experience in Purchasing or Finance, or related field

• SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle & Performance preferred

• Experience serving as a liaison between external parties and internal departments

• Knowledge of the procurement process with the ability to read, interpret, and explain company procedures both internally and externally

Physical Requirements in a Regular Workday:

• Occasionally lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 20 lbs

• Rarely lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 35 lbs

• Continuously working inside; rarely working outside in changing temperatures

• Rarely working in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matter

• Rarely stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling

• Continuously sitting; occasionally standing/walking

Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:

• Ability to travel between offices, as required

• Legally eligible to work in the United States

• Valid driver's license (if applicable)

• Must successfully complete pre-employment testing

• Must be able to read and speak the English language
