Essential Duties / Essential Job Functions:
• Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner.
• Handle all calls in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EHR by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
• Completing new patient profiles.
• Verify insurance and collect co-pays.
• Inform patients of ONE Health Ohio's policies and procedures regarding billing, payment of fees, sliding fee schedules, and payment options.
• Handle patient intake forms and documentation.
• Optimize patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by maintaining the computerized appointment calendar.
• Set up follow-up appointments and providing the patient their patient plans.
• Reconcile the nightly deposit as per policy.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.

Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous medical office or receptionist experience preferred
• Familiarity with insurance information verification
• Sliding fee scale competency
• CPR or ability to obtain
Physical Requirements
• Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time
• Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction
• Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s), for example, using a keyboard
• Communication skills using the spoken word
• Ability to see within normal parameters and hear within normal range
• Ability to move about
