Essential Responsibilities
• Support the daily operations of the People & Culture department.
• Coordinate recruitment and hiring activities, including job postings, candidate communication, interviews, pre-employment requirements, and onboarding.
• Facilitate new-hire orientation and ensure all required employment documentation is completed accurately and timely.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and organized team member records.
• Serve as a welcoming and approachable resource for team members and leaders regarding company policies, procedures, benefits, and workplace questions.
• Partner with department leaders to support staffing needs, retention, engagement, and team member development.
• Assist with employee relations matters and escalate concerns to the People & Culture Director as appropriate.
• Coordinate team member training, development, and hotel or brand-required programs.
• Support performance management, performance reviews, coaching, and related documentation.
• Assist with team member recognition, engagement, and culture initiatives.
• Support payroll, timekeeping, attendance, and other people-related processes.
• Prepare reports, correspondence, spreadsheets, and other People & Culture documentation.
• Assist with internal audits and compliance initiatives.
• Help ensure hotel practices are consistent with company policies, employment regulations, and applicable brand standards.
• Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive team member information.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture.
• Partner with leadership to reinforce the hotel's values, service culture, and commitment to team member experience.
• Perform other People & Culture and administrative responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
• 1–3 years of People & Culture or Human Resources experience, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Previous hotel People & Culture/HR experience strongly preferred.
• Previous Hilton-branded hotel experience highly preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of basic employment practices, workplace policies, and applicable employment regulations.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Strong hospitality and customer-service mindset.
• Ability to work effectively and professionally with team members and leaders at all levels.
