Position Highlights:
• Job Type: Wound Care Nurse
• Location: Community Hospital/In Patient
• Schedule: 20-24 hours per week

Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients with wounds, evaluating the type, size, depth, and condition of the wound.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on the specific needs of each patient and the characteristics of their wounds.
• Perform wound dressing changes using aseptic techniques to minimize the risk of infection.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on proper wound care techniques, including wound cleansing, dressing changes, and signs of infection.
• Regularly assess and reassess the progress of wound healing, adjusting the treatment plan as needed.
• Monitor for signs of infection, complications, or changes in the patient's overall health that may impact wound recovery.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least two (2) years of MedicalSurgical nursing (or equivalent).
• Current, unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in Colorado.
• Current certification by Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNB) as a CWOCN, WCN, CWON, or COCN required.
Compensation:
• $40.00 - $46.00 per hour, depending on education and experience.
• Bonus: $5,000 (for nurses with 2 or more years of experience)
• Discretionary bonuses, relocation expenses, merit increase, market adjustments, recognition bonuses, and other forms of discretionary compensation may be available.
