This is a Cactus Wellhead position, and is located in Bossier City, LA
Job Summary: Responsible for fabricating and repairing product using welding equipment.
Essential Functions, Roles, and Responsibilities: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.
• Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, programs and regulations.
• Reviews layouts, prints or drawings in preparation for welding or cutting metal components.
• Layout, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to welding, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and/or rulers.
• Join, fabricate and repair metal and other welding type material.
• Examines work pieces for defects and measures work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Education, Training, Experience: High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Perform and pass a ASME/AWS weld test.

Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• Knowledge of machine operations
• Read and interpret Engineering drawings
• Strong Math Skills/proficient Reading
• Experience in planning and scheduling
• Effective communication skills

This position operates in an industrial/field environment. The role requires working in and around manufacturing equipment, heavy machinery, and potentially hazardous materials. While performing the duties of this job, the employee:
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly
• Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 12 hours per shift)
• Climb stairs and ladders
• Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach
• Work in confined spaces when required
• Operate heavy equipment and power tools
• Perform repetitive movements
Environmental Conditions:
• Exposure to extreme weather conditions
• Exposure to loud noise levels requiring hearing protection
• Work in high places and confined spaces
• Exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals
• Work around moving mechanical parts
