About this role
Position: Machine Technician 2 Salary Grade: 4
Primary Purpose: Construct machines and assemblies for final finishing with a quality mindset and in an efficient manner to ensure that the machines are ready for additional processing and completion.

Responsibilities: Quantifiable metrics to which a person is held accountable
• Produce and disassemble moderately complex machines independently.
• Rebuild and repair machines and equipment using hand tools and power tools.
• Operate various machines and tools to assist in assembly operations.
• Transport assemblies and machines as needed using forklifts and cranes.
• Analyze blueprints and schematics and prepare parts and assemblies for machine building operations.
• Troubleshoot and test machines both during and after assembly.
• Verify conformance of parts to blueprints using measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
• Weld materials, machines, and parts as required.
Essential qualifications and skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven ability to master machine technician 1 role.
• Ability to receive forklift license and learn to operate cranes and man-lifts.
• Must have math skills and ability to utilize various measurement tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature, and flexible.
• Ability to remain calm and determined to attain goals.
• High energy level, comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
• Documentation of a current drug screen must be provided prior to start date.
