Community Manager

The Opportunity: This is an opportunity to take on a key role within one of BGO's largest residential communities in Toronto. As Community Manager at Goldengate, you will be at the centre of the resident experience and day-to-day operations—bringing together service, team coordination and commercial awareness to help the community perform at its best.
You'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on how residents experience their home, how the onsite team works together, and how the property continues to evolve.
This is an onsite position located in Toronto, Ontario.
What You Will Do:
• Build strong relationships with residents, respond to concerns and service needs, and help create a welcoming and engaged residential community.
• Oversee key day-to-day property administration including resident records, rent collection, arrears, notices, lease assignments and suite move-in and move-out processes.
• Support occupancy and revenue performance through lease renewals, resident retention initiatives and leasing activities as required.
• Coordinate suite inspections, resident follow-ups, work orders and service recovery, partnering with maintenance and other site teams to ensure issues are resolved promptly.
• Plan and support resident events and initiatives that strengthen community engagement and enhance the overall resident experience.
• Ensure property operations comply with applicable residential tenancy requirements, BGO policies, and health, safety, fire and life-safety standards.
• Work closely with the Regional Property Manager and broader site team on operational priorities, staff support, vendor coordination and special projects.
Who You Are
Key Qualifications
• College or university education in business, hospitality, property management or a related field.
• 3+ years of related experience in residential property management, hospitality or a comparable customer-focused environment.
• Working knowledge of applicable Ontario residential tenancy legislation and landlord-resident requirements.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with Yardi or another residential property management platform is considered to be an asset
Other Skills and Behaviours:
• A strong service mindset with an interest in creating resident experiences that build community and long-term satisfaction.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with residents, colleagues, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced onsite environment.
• Experience leading, coaching or supporting team members.
• Flexibility in hours to ensure availability for last day of each month & the first two to three days of the beginning of the month in order to accommodate the move-in-move-outs, trades and rent collection. Being able to handle emergencies occurring after regular office hours
• Police Clearance: A criminal verification check is required for employment

The Expected Base Pay Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year. The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. BGO values the contribution of our employees and our compensation structure may vary based on the geographical location of successful candidates, as well as their experience, skills or qualifications.
