About this role

As a Survey Technician / Graduate Surveyor, you will undertake technical surveying work and support the delivery of survey work across infrastructure, cadastral, and engineering projects. You will work across field, office and project functions and may work towards registration. The role provides direct exposure to statutory work, infrastructure, and land development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct field surveys using total stations, GPS, levels and laser scanning equipmentProcess and analyse survey data using CAD, GIS or BIM softwareDraft feature, detail and contour plans from field dataDraft plans for subdivision, easements, leases and engineering set-outMaintain, calibrate and operate survey equipmentAssist in set-out of infrastructure and built environment projectsWork under supervision of Registered Surveyors for legal plansProduce and check technical documentation and reportsProvide support to graduate surveyors and assistants on-siteMaintain equipment in clean and calibrated condition Qualifications:

Strong mathematical and spatial reasoning skillsHigh attention to detail and data accuracyAbility to work outdoors in a physically demanding environmentAdaptable to changing field and office environmentsStrong communication and teamwork skillsOrganised and self-motivatedMinimum Cert IV in Surveying or related disciplineInterest in career progression or further study At Colliers, we are enterprising.
