About this role

Experian is looking for a skilled and motivated Software Engineer with strong experience in building and maintaining enterprise applications using Java, JBoss/Weblogic, AWS. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing scalable, high-performance applications while supporting legacy systems and driving modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java/J2EE technologiesDeploy and manage applications on Weblogic/JBoss (WildFly / EAP) application serversWork in Linux/Unix environments for application deployment, configuration, and troubleshootingPerform shell scripting and automation tasks in Linux (Bash/Shell scripting)Troubleshooting issues with data transformations/data pipelinesAnalyze and troubleshoot production issues across distributed, Linux, and mainframe systemsCollaborate on cloud migration and development initiatives using AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.)Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, and deploymentEnsure application security, scalability, and performance optimizationWrite clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following coding standardsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldStrong experience in Java/J2EEProficiency in Weblogic/WebSphere/ JBoss / WildFly application server configuration and deploymentStrong working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration and commandsExperience with shell scripting (Bash/Shell) for automation and operational tasksExepreince working on building/maintaining legacy ETL pipelines build on Java and legacy technologies Knowledge with AWS cloud services and cloud-native developmentKnowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and system integrationKnowledge with DB2 database development and performance tuningExperience working with mainframe technologies (COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, or IMS)Strong debugging and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with version control systems (Git, SVN)Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Our uniqueness is that we celebrate yours.
