About this role
The Compliance Assurance Officer plays an important role in delivering effective, risk-based compliance assurance across the EMAP region. This role is suited to someone who can lead assigned assurance reviews independently, apply sound judgment in regulated environments, and work credibly with stakeholders on findings, risks, and remediation.
You will be responsible for delivering compliance assurance reviews in line with the Global Compliance Management Programme and the annual EMAP Compliance Assurance Plan.
What you'll be doing in this role
Deliver assurance reviews end to end
Execute compliance assurance reviews in line with the annual EMAP Compliance Assurance Plan and agreed timelinesDefine testing approach and review activities for assigned engagementsMaintain robust working papers and clear review documentationAssess findings and support remediation
Analyse control effectiveness and identify areas of compliance riskPrepare clear, well-structured reports that set out findings, risks, conclusions, and required actionsWork with business owners and management to agree practicalSupport governance and stakeholder engagement
Build a broad understanding of the business and the regulatory environment in which Experian operatesEngage with stakeholders to support effective management of compliance risk.This role will be reporting to Head of Compliance. Experience and judgment
Around 3 years of experience in monitoring, testing, assurance, or audit within regulatory complianceExperience working in a substantial regulated organisation, ideally in Financial ServicesTechnical and functional capability
Good working knowledge of privacy and data protection regulation and its key principlesExperience delivering assurance or testing reviews and documenting findings clearlyInvestigate issues, analyze data, and prepare clear, actionable reports.Stakeholder and communication strength
Being more structured, and credible way in managing tasksConfidence working with business stakeholders to discuss findings, risks, and actionsDesirable
