. . KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
The IABOR Oversight team is responsible for overseeing the middle office service provider to ensure the integrity, completeness and timeliness of IABOR data supporting downstream business use, operational processes and reporting requirements. This role is primarily focused on providing governance and oversight over the service provider’s production of pricing, transaction and position data, ensuring that appropriate controls, issue management and escalation processes are in place and operating effectively.
This role has several key responsibilities:
• Oversee the middle office service provider’s delivery of IABOR pricing, transaction and position data across all Local Business Units (LBUs), ensuring data quality, completeness and timeliness for downstream consumption. • Perform independent oversight checks and thematic reviews on IABOR data to identify exceptions, control gaps and areas of concern. • Challenge, investigate and drive resolution of data breaks, mismatches and exceptions between Aladdin, IABOR and other relevant downstream systems, working closely with the service provider and internal stakeholders. • Establish and maintain robust exception reporting, escalation and governance processes for IABOR data issues, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate management visibility. • Act as the key oversight contact and first point of escalation for issues relating to the service provider’s IABOR data servicing and control environment. • Monitor service provider performance against agreed service standards, control expectations and contractual obligations, and escalate concerns where service quality or control effectiveness falls short. • Review and validate invoices from service providers and vendors to ensure charges are accurate, supported and aligned to contractual terms before submission for payment processing. • Partner with internal stakeholders, including LBU Operations, technology teams and the middle office service provider, to ensure data issues, process gaps and control weaknesses are appropriately addressed.
• Support transitions, onboarding of new markets/instruments and change initiatives by ensuring service provider readiness, data quality controls and operating model requirements are adequately considered. • Provide subject matter expertise on IABOR data oversight for projects, new business initiatives and process changes impacting outsourced middle office data services. • Support incident management activities relating to IABOR data issues, including impact assessment, escalation, root cause tracking and remediation follow-through. • Drive ongoing enhancement of the oversight framework, including controls, MI, process efficiency, automation opportunities and service provider governance. • Maintain awareness of market, regulatory and business changes that may impact IABOR data requirements, and work with the service provider and internal teams to implement necessary process or control changes. • Proactively identify risks within the outsourced IABOR servicing model and strengthen the control environment through structured oversight, challenge and continuous improvement.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in asset management middle office, investment operations or service provider oversight • Strong understanding of IABOR, asset management operating models, and downstream data dependencies across pricing, transaction and position data • Prior experience overseeing outsourced service providers, including performance monitoring, issue escalation and control challenge • Good understanding of fund accounting and related middle office control processes • Experience with Aladdin or similar investment platforms preferred • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate data issues and drive resolution across multiple stakeholders • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal stakeholders and external providers • High attention to detail, with a strong risk and control mindset and a proactive approach to continuous improvement • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities and meet variable deadlines • Degree in Business, Finance or a related discipline
