Regional Finance Manager - LATIN AMERICA
Are you ready to be the operational driving force and financial anchor for our group's Latin American business entities spanning Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Colombia?
As Tropic and Rahan combine to increase our global presence into LATAM, we have a new, unique and exciting opportunity to help drive and shape our financial governance across LATAM.
You will directly oversee and rehabilitate the Costa Rican entity's financial reporting, support and mentor the local internal accountant, and proactively spearhead structured, timely, and aligned financial closing cycles from the other regional subsidiaries.
Essential Requirements
Professional Experience: You can demonstrate that you have proven background in corporate financial management (as a Corporate/ Regional Finance Manager or Senior Controller) combined with robust, practical expertise in financial statement analysis and budget variance evaluation (FP&A).
Excel Skills: You'll posses strong operational proficiency in Microsoft Excel for the purpose of efficient data consolidation, multi currency data aggregation, tracking variance-to-budget, and assembling clear, digestible management reports.
Local Regulatory Expertise: You will bring a deep and up-to-date knowledge of Costa Rican accounting standards, local corporate tax frameworks, and official regulatory e-reporting portals (e.g., ATV / Ministerio de Hacienda)
Languages: Native Spanish and Fluent English (both written and spoken) for clear, seamless, and unhindered reporting lines directly to the Group CFO.
Soft Skills: You can demonstrate a highly proactive, self-motivated, and assertive professional character ("Proactivo y orientado a resultados").
You will need to be focused and have the tenacity to robustly manage schedules, streamline fragmented processes, and independently push external accounting entities in Colombia and Ecuador to maintain strict group deadlines.
Desirable
Grants & Subsidies: Direct experience with Costa Rican government grants, national innovation incentives, or specialized financial/tax regimens (such as Free Trade Zone / Zona Franca regulatory frameworks).
Regional Experience: Prior experience interacting with or consolidating financial data from active corporate entities based in Colombia and/or Ecuador.
Systems & Standards: Previous exposure to ERP system rollouts, automated data pipelines (such as Power Query), or foundational familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
LOCATION & ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
Geographic Base: Must be able to commute to the San Ramón region of Costa Rica.
Office Presence: You will be required to attend the San Ramón corporate office at least twice a week to provide direct hands-on leadership, standard operating training, and visual oversight to the internal accountancy team, as well as occasional travel to regional offices and meetings.
