We are hiring a Country Manager to lead all technical operations across Mexico. This is a hands-on leadership role (part technical program management, part regional general management) reporting directly to the CEO.
The mission of the Country Manager is to lead and develop the local entity to achieve sustainable business growth and profitability by effectively aligning market strategy, operations, and team performance with the company’s objectives.
· Direct and coordinate all country operations. Oversee the overall activities and business functions within the assigned country to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and local market demands.
· Develop and implement growth strategies. Propose and execute action plans to achieve revenue, and operational goals in the resident country.
· Build and maintain strong customer relationships. Establish and nurture lasting partnerships with key clients, providers and business partners to enhance the company’s presence and reputation.
· Analyse market trends and competition. Take account of the state of the labour market and keeps up to date general market trends to identify new business opportunities and threats.
· Ensure that projects are staffed with top-tier internal talent and external contractors, delivered on time and in full compliance with requirements.
· Ensure legal and regulatory compliance. Guarantee adherence to local laws, industry standards, and corporate policies within the country’s operations.
· Collaborate cross-functionally. Work closely with departments such as human resources, sales, marketing, finance, and operations to ensure cohesive and efficient business processes.
· Provide performance reporting. Ensure the fidelity of data in HRIS and other IS of the company, deliver regular, insightful reports on operational performance metrics to senior management.
· Serve as the primary local representative. Act as the official point of contact and accountable leader for the company at the assigned location, representing corporate interests.
· Ensure that the processes generate the expected results and meet the requirements of the IMS System.
JOB REQUERIMENTS
Desired formation: University degree in Business or Engineering.
Experience:
· 8 years of previous experience in a leadership position.
· Degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. Also, any degree in Business Management as long as:
· 2+ years of experience in a technical or commercial role within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
· Strong understanding of engineering and technical roles, experience working with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and automation integrators.
· Understanding of industry-specific certifications and skills.
· Experience in sourcing talent for the automotive and industrial automation sectors.
· Ability to attract and engage high-quality candidates and external providers in a competitive market.
· Experience in building and maintaining talent pipelines for critical and recurring positions (e.g., controls engineers, robotics specialists, automotive project managers, installers).
· Up to date on labour market trends, salary benchmarks, and competitor hiring activity in automotive and automation fields.
· Ability to serve as the operational liaison, coordinating the administrative office with managers and operational roles on site.
· Experience working in international or multi-site teams.
