Discovery Kidzone Montessori School is looking for a dependable, energetic, and caring After School Teacher & Driver to join our team in Helena for the 2026-2027 school year.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with school-age children, leading fun activities, and creating a positive environment where children can relax, play, learn, and build friendships after school.
No previous childcare experience required. Paid training is provided!

What You'll Do
As an After School Teacher & Driver, you'll help children transition from their school day into a fun, safe, and engaging afternoon program.
You'll:
• Safely transport children from local schools to Discovery Kidzone and scheduled activities
• Drive a 14-passenger van or small bus while following all safety procedures
• Supervise children and maintain a safe, positive, and supportive environment
• Lead outdoor games, recreational activities, creative projects, and group experiences
• Encourage teamwork, positive social interactions, independence, and confidence
• Help children develop problem-solving and communication skills
• Assist with snacks, restroom routines, transitions, and other daily needs
• Communicate professionally with families and coworkers
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom and vehicle environment
• Collaborate with teachers and leadership to support successful daily program operations
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is responsible, positive, and enjoys spending time with children.
You must:
• Be at least 21 years old
• Have a valid driver's license
• Maintain a clean driving record
• Be comfortable driving a 14-passenger van or small bus
• Be comfortable actively participating in indoor and outdoor activities
• Be dependable, patient, and calm in a busy environment
• Have strong communication and teamwork skills
• Have an interest in working with school-age children
• Be willing to complete required Montana licensing and training requirements
• Be CPR Certified (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire)
No prior childcare experience required. We provide training!
