Your friendly Ponsonby local. Freeman & Grey is a relaxed gastropub that prides itself on being the place to go for an after work beer to the place you meet your friends on a Saturday night. We strongly believe in handcrafted pizza, cold beer and good times. We love people and we love keeping busy - our nights are filled with quizzes, functions and cocktails!
The Role
Our Door Person is the first point of contact for all of our customers along with being a direct extension of our brand. It is vital that you provide a warm welcome to our customers and continue that rapport throughout the evening. Your role includes:
• Greeting our customers
• Proactively monitoring intoxication levels within our site
• Reporting and coordinating with the Manager on shift
• Managing and de escalating conflict
• Upholding the sale and supplier of Liquor Act 2012
• Checking ID’s
The Pay
As the role is more senior than our security position, we are offering a higher pay rate of $26.00-$35.00 per hour depending on experience.
Skills / Experience
You must need a current COA. Our ideal candidate will also:
• Be able to remain calm and professional under pressure
• Communicate effectively
• Be trustworthy and mature
• Be able to control tricky situations and conversations responsibly
• Share the passion we have for our brand and demonstrate this
• A passion for making drinks and experiences.
• A professional approach to handling different situations.
• Someone who is fun! We love giving our customers a great experience.
• Energy and enthusiasm for each and every job you do!
Working weekends is essential, we are looking for flexible applicants who are able to commit to late nights.
