About the Role :
We are looking for an HR & Compliance professional to play a key role in strengthening our people practices, HR operations, and compliance framework. This position will work closely with employees, managers, and leadership to ensure HR matters are handled effectively and in line with Sri Lankan labour laws, statutory requirements, and company policies.
Responsibilities :
• Manage day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, employee records, confirmations, transfers, promotions, and offboarding.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Sri Lankan labour laws, statutory requirements, and internal HR policies.
• Develop, review, and update HR policies, procedures, and employee guidelines.
• Monitor changes in employment regulations and ensure timely implementation of required changes.
• Maintain accurate HR documentation and records for internal and external audits.
• Coordinate HR audits and ensure timely resolution of compliance gaps.
• Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and employee relations issues.
• Support performance management, probation, confirmation, and improvement processes.
• Work closely with management and department heads on HR-related matters and compliance requirements.
• Identify HR risks and recommend improvements to processes and controls.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company information.
• Support employee engagement, people development, and other HR initiatives.
Qualifications :
• 2+ years of experience in HR Operations/ Compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan labour laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
• Experience in HR policy development, compliance, audits, and employee relations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in HRIS and Google Workspace.
