We're looking for a Drainage Investigation Engineer to join the Auger Team, covering Swindon and the surrounding areas. As part of the role, you'll be trained to carry out subsidence investigations alongside a range of drainage investigations.

Benefits

• Total package worth between £36,412 - £42,122, dependent on previous experience. This includes a discretionary annual bonus and a generous 5.5% pension contribution.

• Working Hours are 42.5 Hours, Monday to Friday which includes your travel time door to door. We don’t typically work weekends, but voluntary overtime during the weekend is available, paid at time and a half.

• Starting Salary - £32,381 - £37,793 dependent on experience

• Annual Bonus - approx £2000 - £2500

The role

• Independently investigate drainage systems and recommend appropriate repairs

• Learn and carry out subsidence investigations, including identifying potential causes and gathering relevant information and evidence

• Logically establish ownership and the cause of the customer's issue

• Confidently talk our customer through the works, giving them peace of mind

• Complete trial holes to locate foundations and collect soil & root samples

• Communicate proactively with our Field Operations Team at HQ

• Work effectively with other engineers in our team as required

Preferred experience

• Use of CCTV camera (recording and labeling)

• Use of CAT scanner in order to identify buried services and to trace/locate the drainage system by use of sonde

• Reinstatement of various different domestic surface types including; paving slabs, block paving, cold lay tarmac, concrete, etc.

• Ability to complete small repairs - Replacement of gullies, restbends, small sections of shallow pipework

• Prior experience of completing trial holes
