About this role
What is the programme? This programme will help you build skills, confidence and work experience to help you get a job or continue your education. It is a good opportunity for anyone interested in working with young people, communities or social care. You will have the chance to gain a QQI qualification while working and learning. What will you do? You will work with young people aged 10 to 21 years. Your work may include: • Supporting young people. • Helping to run youth groups and activities. • Organising sports, music, arts and other activities. • Helping with health and education programmes. • Taking part in trips and events. • Helping young people learn new skills. • Some office and administration work. • Taking part in training and courses. Training You will learn while working and also attend training courses. You may have the opportunity to gain QQI qualifications from Level 3 upwards. You can also gain experience in areas such as: • Youth Work • Mental Health • Youth Justice • Community Work • Life Skills • Work Experience Who are we looking for? You do not need to have previous paid experience in youth work. We would be interested in hearing from you if you have worked or volunteered with young people through: • GAA or other sports • Scouts • Youth groups • Church groups • Community groups • Other clubs or organisations Your skills and hobbies are also important.
