What You Will Learn During the Placement Throughout the 6 month programme, the participant will be trained in how to: • Pick, pack, and process customer orders accurately and efficiently • Load and unload delivery vehicles using safe lifting techniques • Maintain and organise stock inventory • Build safe and secure pallets • Check deliveries in and out of the warehouse • Follow Goods Receiving and Dispatching procedures • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and (where appropriate) forklifts • Participate in routine stock checks and identify discrepancies • Work effectively as part of a warehouse team • Follow company policies, including health and safety guidelines. This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP.
