At JJ Kavanagh, we are expanding our maintenance team and are currently seeking an experienced Spray Painter / Panel Beater Technician to join our Urlingford depot. Your role As a Spray Painter / Panel Beater Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining the appearance, safety, and roadworthiness of our vehicles. Your work will directly support fleet availability and ensure our vehicles meet the high standards expected by our drivers, passengers, and regulators. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Carrying out professional spray painting and panel beating on all vehicle types Completing de-tar’ing and body repairs as required Performing routine and non-routine maintenance and repairs on PSVs Preparing and presenting vehicles for MOT/CVRT Diagnosing and resolving bodywork and cosmetic defects Completing all job cards, inspections, and defect rectification paperwork accurately Liaising with the parts department to source required components Supporting colleagues across the engineering and driving teams Maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant working environment Attending to unscheduled maintenance issues both on and off-site Availability to work some weekends as business needs arise What you’ll need Formal, industry-recognised qualifications in panel beating/spray painting Proven technical competence across body repair and paintwork A strong focus on safety, quality, and attention to detail The ability to work independently and solve problems as they arise A flexible, proactive approach and positive attitude Full driving licence (essential) Commercial licence is an advantage (training can be provided) Ready to apply?
