The Opportunity: Hellenic Cables, a subsidiary of Cenergy Holdings with more than 70 years of manufacturing excellence, is expanding its global footprint with a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Baltimore, Maryland. This advanced operation will produce highly engineered underground power and telecommunications cable products to support growing global infrastructure and energy demand. As part of this exciting growth, we are seeking a Technical Inside Sales Engineer to support our commercial team in preparing technical and commercial offers, coordinating customer inquiries, and driving internal project follow-up across the electric utility, EPC, data center, and renewable energy markets. Role Description The Technical Inside Sales Engineer is responsible for supporting the sales organization through the preparation of technical and commercial offers, coordination of customer inquiries, and internal project follow-up for cable and cable system products. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, this role serves as the critical link between engineering, planning, production, and the external sales team interpreting customers’ specifications, providing product guidance, and ensuring accurate, timely communication across departments. This position is based onsite in Baltimore, MD. This position plays a key role in managing RFQs, tender documentation, and technical clarifications for customers and distributors, while helping the sales team maintain competitive positioning and support the growth of a brand-new U.S. manufacturing operation. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare technical and commercial offers for cables, cable systems, and turnkey project inquiries Review customer specifications and requirements to ensure compliance with company products and industry standards Coordinate closely with engineering, planning, and production teams to gather technical data, pricing, and lead times Support Regional Sales Managers with quotations, documentation, and follow-up actions Manage incoming customer requests, RFQs, and tender documentation through the company’s SAP and internal systems Provide technical clarification to customers and distributors, ensuring accurate interpretation of product capabilities and specifications Monitor tender platforms and participate in competitive bid processes by preparing required documentation Ensure timely submission of offers and maintain organized records of quotations and customer communications Assist in product configuration and development discussions to support competitive positioning Support after-sales activities by coordinating technical feedback, documentation, and issue resolution Maintain an active pipeline of inside sales support across transmission, distribution, substation, renewable energy, and data center infrastructure projects Collaborate with marketing, product management, and operations teams to support customer requirements and business objectives Represent the company professionally in communications with customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders Maintain responsibility for performing all duties in compliance with legal, regulatory, and professional standards Up to 10% travel will be required Qualifications/Skills: Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales support, inside sales, or a related field within a technical, specification-driven industry (e.g., electrical, industrial manufacturing, engineered products, or power infrastructure); experience in the wire and cable industry is a plus Strong ability to read, interpret, and apply technical specifications, engineering drawings, and product documentation; experience with cable or wire products is a plus but not required Commercial and product knowledge with the ability to translate technical requirements into competitive offers Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple quotations and deadlines simultaneously Critical and analytical thinking with strong problem-solving abilities Business acumen and internal negotiation and coordination awareness Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills Proficiency with SAP, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to manage a high volume of customer inquiries while consistently meeting deadlines Resilience, initiative, and adaptability in a fast-paced, growing organization Commitment to integrity, accountability, and commercial excellence Ability to collaborate effectively across internal and external stakeholders SALARY PAY RANGE: $95,000 - $125,000 The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
