Job Summary Perform inspection, testing, repair and maintenance of assigned electronic and electrical systems on oilfield equipment under supervisor guidance. Support troubleshooting and calibration of sensors, wiring, control circuits, instrumentation, data acquisition and equipment communication systems. Assist with engines and transmissions electronic and electrical diagnostics, including harnesses, connectors, sensors, actuators, ECM/TCM-related checks and fault-code support. Maintain safe work practices, accurate job records, good housekeeping and proper care of tools and test equipment. Key Accountabilities Operate safely at all times and comply with CORE Arabia QHSE requirements, workshop rules, permit controls and customer site requirements when applicable. Inspect, test, maintain, repair and replace assigned electronic and electrical components such as pressure transducers, flow-meter signals, sensors, actuators, relays, switches, control panels, electric motors, wiring harnesses and 12/24 VDC control circuits. Support diagnostics on engine and transmission electrical/electronic systems, including basic ECM/ TCM fault-code checks, sensor signal verification, harness continuity testing, connector inspection, voltage drop checks and actuator circuit testing. Use approved diagnostic tools and test instruments, including digital multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, power supplies, signal generators and OEM/ service diagnostic applications where authorised. Read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and equipment schematics to trace faults, verify circuits and support repair decisions. Assist in calibration, functional testing and commissioning of instrumentation, data acquisition systems, control boxes and equipment communication interfaces under supervision. Carry out basic configuration, loading or update support for PLC, HMI, Windows-based equipment systems and data acquisition software only as instructed by the supervisor or Senior Electronics Technician. Prepare clear inspection notes, test readings, defect reports, parts requirements and work-order updates to support accurate job history and customer reporting. Escalate complex diagnostics, repeated failures, safety concerns, non-standard modifications or unclear technical findings to the Senior Electronics Technician or Service & Repair Centre Manager before proceeding. Support final inspection and equipment testing activities to confirm safety, functionality and readiness for customer acceptance or workshop release. Maintain assigned tools, meters, calibration accessories, workshop equipment and work areas in clean, safe and serviceable condition. Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude Educational Qualifications & Certifications: Diploma or technical certificate in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Automotive Electrical Systems, Mechatronics or a related technical discipline is preferred. High school diploma with relevant hands-on electronics/ electrical maintenance experience may be considered. Knowledge: Working knowledge of electronic and electrical maintenance practices in a workshop or oilfield equipment environment. Basic understanding of pressure pumping and well service equipment, including sensors, transducers, instrumentation, control boxes and data acquisition systems. Practical knowledge of engine and transmission electrical/ electronic systems, including wiring harnesses, connectors, sensors, actuators, ECM/ TCM interfaces and fault-code support. Familiarity with 12/24 VDC electrical systems, grounding, fuses, relays, circuit protection, continuity, resistance, insulation and voltage testing. Technical and General Skills: Electrical troubleshooting using schematics, wiring diagrams and test instruments. Use of digital multimeters, clamp meters, insulation resistance testers, power supplies and basic diagnostic software. Engine/ transmission electronics checks: fault-code retrieval support, sensor signal checks, connector pin inspection, harness repair support and actuator circuit verification. Basic calibration and functional testing of pressure, flow, temperature and speed-related sensors/ transducers. Wiring, termination, crimping, soldering, connector replacement and harness repair to workshop standards. Basic support for data acquisition systems, PLC/ HMI interfaces, Modbus/ TCP-IP or similar communication arrangements under supervision. Language Skills: Good working communication in English is required for manuals, drawings, job cards and technical reporting. Experience: 2-4 years of relevant electronics/ electrical maintenance or workshop troubleshooting experience is preferred.
