About this role

We're looking for experienced Senior Platform Engineers (Cloud) to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping and evolving our cloud platform capabilities. In this role, you'll provide technical leadership and hands-on delivery, empowering product and engineering teams to build, deploy, and operate secure, reliable, and scalable services. You'll own the end-to-end lifecycle of platform solutions, driving innovation through self-service capabilities, governance, continuous improvement, and data-driven insights that deliver real business value. We currently have one permanent opportunity and one fixed-term opportunity, both based in Perth CBD. Your Role in Action Contribute to the strategic direction and ongoing evolution of cloud and infrastructure platforms, translating architectural standards and business requirements into practical, scalable platform capabilities. Design, implement and operate platform services that enable engineering teams to build, deploy and manage applications securely, reliably and efficiently, while meeting agreed service, performance and resilience objectives. Develop and maintain self-service tooling, automation and Infrastructure as Code solutions that reduce operational overhead, improve consistency and accelerate delivery across cloud and hybrid environments. Establish strong working relationships with engineering, product, security, finance and vendor stakeholders to drive adoption of platform standards, improve platform usability and align technology outcomes with business priorities. Monitor platform health, utilisation, performance and costs, providing meaningful operational and financial insights that support informed decision-making and continuous optimisation. Lead the response to platform incidents and operational issues, conducting root cause analysis, implementing durable remediation measures and embedding lessons learned to improve service reliability. Maintain the security, governance and compliance posture of platform services, ensuring infrastructure assets remain appropriately managed, patched, auditable and aligned with enterprise requirements. Evaluate emerging technologies, tools and engineering practices, identifying opportunities to improve platform capability, reduce technical debt, strengthen resilience and enhance the overall developer experience. What Makes You a Great Fit Demonstrated experience in a large and complex technology environment, delivering cloud, infrastructure and/or application platform services that meet operational and service performance expectations. Strong understanding of modern platform engineering principles, service lifecycle management and the delivery of scalable, reliable and secure technology services. Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes across diverse technical and business groups, building trusted relationships and fostering collaboration at all levels of the organisation. A customer-focused mindset, with the ability to balance user needs, commercial considerations and strategic objectives when delivering technology solutions. Broad knowledge of contemporary technology trends and emerging capabilities, with the ability to translate these into practical outcomes and continuous improvement opportunities.
