Close collaboration with all business areas ensures the definition and implementation of commodity group strategies, while commercial negotiations have a direct impact on the company's success. Selecting the best and most innovative suppliers guarantees the highest quality standards, as well as sustainable and innovative products. The tasks in procurement are as diverse as they are essential to success. You can look forward to these exciting tasks: Handling all relevant purchasing processes for the battery specific components in a complex and global environment responsibly Developing, coordinating and implementing the category strategy Driving the optimization of the supplier panel to make sure that the panel is continuously updated and fits for all Business unit battery systems and monitoring market developments to derive the right conclusions and actions Creating additional value to the organization by using intelligent sourcing methods and tactics such as global bundles, slot sourcing, auctions or others Continuous improvement of commercial conditions to ensure competitive pricing (negotiations, global bundling, costing and VA/VE projects, etc.) Ensuring and negotiating contractual agreements within battery specific suppliers Ensuring the availability of materials in the supply chain as scheduled and maintaining the inventory at minimum acceptable levels This is what you bring to us: Technical university’s degree or degree in business science and relevant professional experience in the area of category purchasing in an international acting company, ideally in the Automotive industry Strong communication, networking and negotiation skills Confident appearance on all hierarchical levels Strategic, conceptual and analytical skills, interdisciplinary, entrepreneurial and customer-oriented thinking and acting Reliable and well-structured way of working Applications from qualified individuals with disabilities are expressly welcome.
