About this role
Summary This program involves biomarkers of many diseases that includes metabolic syndrome and diabetes as well as quality improvement projects affecting care of patients in future. This is a part-time position, 15 hours/week. Job Duties Trains in all basic aspects of lab bench work and maintaining database. Understands workings of a laboratory. Learns the role of biomarkers in disease and learns importance of biorepositoriesase and maintenance of biorepositories. Performs pipeting, makes buffers, aliquoting, works on storing the samples. Maintains database and performs literature search. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Must be enrolled in high school, trade/vocational school or higher education institution. Preferred Qualifications Enrolled in undergraduate or graduate program in biological science or chemical field. Has knowledge of pipetting.
