People Officer Tissot Hinkley Point C Main Duties: • Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, including posting vacancies, screening CVs, coordinating interviews, and designing an engaging onboarding experience for new hires. • Performance Management: Oversee the annual appraisal cycle, support managers in implementing Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), and coach leadership on managing team development. • Training & Development: Coordinate and schedule training sessions, identify skills gaps across the business, and maintain thorough compliance and training records. • Culture & Engagement: Drive initiatives that boost employee engagement, communication, and overall workplace satisfaction. • Case Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations (ER) and industrial relations (IR), providing sound advice on workplace policies. • Disciplinary & Grievances: Guide and support line managers through lower-to-mid level disciplinary, grievance, and capability procedures, ensuring strict adherence to ACAS guidelines and legal compliance. • Absence Management: Track short and long-term sickness absence, conducting reviews and managing welfare cases. • Payroll Liaison: Collate monthly timesheets, track contractual variations (such as promotions or salary adjustments), and process starters/leavers data. • Data Accuracy: Ensure all data is accurately prepared and handed off to our payroll system/external bureau, and act as the first point of contact for internal staff payroll queries. Requirements: • 2-3 years of experience in a progressive HR generalist role. • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or actively working towards it) • Experience of using databases and/or other similar IT information systems (e.g., HRIS). • Experience processing data variations or timesheets for a monthly payroll cycle. • Experience designing or coordinating internal training programs. • Experience of MS Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. • Direct experience managing lower-to-mid level Employee Relations (ER) cases (e.g., absences, disciplinary, grievances). • Coordinating the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle and onboarding.
