Eastside Middle School seeking a motivated, dependable, and student-centered individual to serve as the Eastside Boys Middle School Assistant Basketball Coach. The assistant coach will work closely with the head coach to develop student-athletes both on and off the court by promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, skill development, and a positive competitive experience. Essential Responsibilities
• Assist the head coach with planning and conducting practices.
• Teach and reinforce basketball fundamentals, game strategies, and sportsmanship.
• Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team activities.
• Help organize and prepare equipment before and after practices and games.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful team culture.
• Encourage academic success, good citizenship, and character development.
• Assist with game management, player evaluations, and team communication.
• Ensure compliance with school, district, and athletic association policies.
• Maintain appropriate communication with players, parents, school staff, and administration.
• Perform other coaching duties as assigned by the head coach or athletic director.
