Walpole Public Schools is seeking a Bus Monitor/METCO Program (4 hours per day) for the morning and afternoon, Monday - Friday, to ensure safe boarding and departure of all students riding the bus to and from Boston and Walpole. Bus Monitor Job Description
• Ensure the safe boarding and departure of all students riding the bus.
• Ensure students are dropped off at proper stops.
• Maintain bus routes and stop assignments for all students.
• Enforce bus code of conduct and report all violations to METCO Director.
• Implement and enforce assigned seating arrangements.
• Consult with the METCO Director regarding bus concerns
• Answer cell phone calls from school administrators, METCO Director, and parents.
• Maintain an accurate record of parent contact information.
• Chaperone METCO related field trips. (If applicable).
• Perform duties as assigned by METCO Director or elementary school principal during school day.
Essential Functions of the Job:
• Ride a school bus for an extended period of time
• Monitor daily school bus activities to ensure proper student conduct at all times and adherence to appropriate disciplinary policies established by the Walpole Public Schools.
• Establish and maintain effective communications and working relationships with bus operators, district personnel, school officials, students, and parents.

• Must possess the ability to appropriately enforce discipline.
• Must possess ability to develop positive relationships with students and parents.
Route Times: Morning 6:00 - 8:00am Afternoon 2:00 - 4:00pm Some college preferred.
