POSITION TITLE: Mericle Field House & DATE: August 6, 2026 Maintenance Facility Associate DEPARTMENT: Maintenance / Athletics REPORTS TO: Sports Facility Coordinator / Facilities Director LOCATION: Field House / Maintenance Garage POSITION GOAL: Provide financial, attendance, purchasing and clerical services for Maintenance garage and Field House, with an importance placed on the maintenance of the district's work order and preventative maintenance systems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Assist where directed in all aspects of processing Maintenance garage and Field House payroll including data entry using the electronic time clock system. 2.Process biweekly payroll data for Maintenance garage and Field House. 3.Verification of Maintenance garage's and Field House's employee absences through the substitute employee management system. 4.Maintain the Maintenance garage and Field House purchase order systems and purchase order procedures as directed. 5.Keep track of invoices via the district tracking system for work order paperwork. 6.Competent in the capacity of managing the accounts to which funds can be transferred and keep accurate data for future reference. 7.Maintain, process and complete all work orders, including preventative maintenance program, through the district's work order and preventative maintenance systems for the Field House and Maintenance garage. 8.Enter and be familiar with the Maintenance and Athletic budgets, process budget transfer requests and assist the Sports Facility Coordinator and Facilities Director in preparation of Maintenance and Athletic Department's annual budgets. 9.Track and edit on a daily basis employee activity on the District's time clock system. 10.Schedule Field House substitutes as required on a daily basis. 11.Assist Facilities Director and Sports Facility Coordinator in preparing monthly Committee / Board Meeting agendas. 12.Track departmental spending under the direction of the Facilities Director and Sports Facility Coordinator. 13.Maintain all state and federal agencies (DEP, EPA, etc.) records when required. 14.Assist in maintaining the district Maintenance and Fieldhouse websites. 15.Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. 16.Maintain a procedures manual for this position, reviewing annually and submit revisions to supervisor at time of evaluation. 17.This position description does not express or imply that these are the only duties to be performed by the incumbent in this position. QUALIFICATIONS: To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary. 1.High school diploma, general business training and 5 years related experience. Associates degree preferred. 2.General knowledge of payroll and bookkeeping procedures preferred. 3.Strong clerical skills, including organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality. 4.Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. 5.Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and internet navigation. 6.Current Act 24 (82), Act 34, Act 114, Act 151, Act 168 clearances and pre-employment drug testing and physical with TB test required. 7.The person, while performing in this position, will be required to: a.Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; and talk or hear; b.Sit and occasionally be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch; c.Have specific vision abilities to include close vision and the ability to adjust focus; d.Subject to inside office environmental conditions with moderate noise level; e.Have the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; and f.Possess effective communication, judgment, mathematical, planning and human relations skills, and to meet deadlines with severe time constraints.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 1.12 months per year; 8 hours per day. 2.Salary and benefits according to the agreement between the Board of School Directors and the Hazleton Area Education Support Personnel Association.
