Working alongside teachers and specialized staff, paraeducators help students grow academically, socially, emotionally, and independently while creating welcoming and inclusive learning environments where every child can thrive. Multiple Opportunities Available We are currently hiring paraeducators across the Burlington School District in a variety of educational settings, including: Kindergarten Help students build confidence during one of the most important transitions in their educational journey. Work alongside classroom teachers to support learning, communication, self-regulation, and positive peer interactions. Elementary Special Education Provide individualized and small-group instructional support while helping students meet their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. Collaborate closely with teachers and related service providers to foster student success Middle School Special Education Guide students through an exciting stage of growth by supporting academic achievement, independence, and social development in inclusive learning environments at Edmunds and Hunt Middle Schools. High School Special Education Partner with educators to help students prepare for graduation and life beyond high school by supporting academic progress, communication, independence, and post-secondary readiness. Library Support Help create an engaging learning environment by assisting students and staff with library services, technology resources, circulation, and daily Learning Center operations Magnet School Special Education Join the innovative learning communities at Integrated Arts Academy and Sustainability Academy, where creativity, collaboration, and student-centered learning are at the heart of every classroom. We make a difference by creating social, environmental, and economic justice in our community and world. What You'll Do Depending on the position, paraeducators may:

• Support students individually or in small groups

• Assist teachers with classroom instruction and learning activities

• Help students achieve academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals

• Support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

• Encourage positive behavior and student engagement

• Foster communication, independence, and confidence

• Assist with classroom preparation, instructional materials, and student data collection

• Build positive relationships with students, families, and school staff

• Create welcoming, inclusive learning environments where every student feels supported

SALARY: As per the Master Agreement between the Burlington Board of School Commissioners and the Paraeducators of the Burlington School District.
