Urbana School District #116 TITLE: 21st CCLC After-School Support Staff LOCATION: Urbana High School SUPERVISOR: This position reports to the Coordinator of 21st CCLC and UHS Administration JOB SUMMARY: The 21st CCLC support staff will provide one on one and small group tutoring for UHS students attending a the after school program. All support will be done during after-school hours as part of an after-school program. The applicant must be proficient in high school level coursework, instruction, and support for students. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: In order to be successful in this position, the individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
• Answer questions and provide a reteach of information to high school students on homework assigned during the school day.
• Knowledgeable and familiar with a variety of high school academic subjects (including but not limited to Math, Science, and Language Arts).
• Take student attendance and submit the records at the assigned time.
• Initiate contact during the after school program with students and encourage them to seek out assistance from staff working the after school program
• Maintain a positive relationship with the students attending the after school program.
• Ask for guidance and assistance from the coordinator when unable to assist a student.
• Monitor and supervise the student's behavior within the assigned area or classroom.
• Follow and enforce all program and school rules. Report infractions to the site coordinator.
• Arrive on time for the after school program and stay until the end of the session.
• Actively participate in the program and complete all assigned tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION
• High School Diploma, College degree preferred
EXPERIENCE
• Experience supporting secondary level (high school or middle school) students desired
• College Coursework in Education, Math, Science, English, Engineering, or related field desired
• Current USD #116 employee
START DATE: September 1, 2026 NOTE: This position is not part of the collective bargaining unit and is not an administrative position. $22/hour EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of support personnel.
