PKMS Custodian Pansy Kidd Middle School is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented School Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, welcoming, and well-cared-for environment for our students, staff, families, and community. The School Custodian is responsible for the daily cleaning, upkeep, and general care of assigned campus facilities. Primary areas of responsibility may include the gymnasium, weight room, wrestling room, cafeteria building, classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, common areas, and other school facilities as assigned. This position is an important part of the PKMS team and plays a direct role in creating a school environment where students and staff can learn, work, and thrive. TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES: • Oral and written communication skills • English language skills • Interpersonal relations skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions • Ability to work with and be a part of a team • Ability to work independently • Knowledge of cleaning methods and cleaning products • Ability to maintain honesty and integrity in all aspects of the job • Ability and willingness to adhere to attendance requirements, including regular and punctual employee presence • Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator
