Marketing & Communications Coordinator Reports To: CEO Salary: $40,000 annually Position Type: Full-Time Position Summary The Marketing & Communications Coordinator executes Exalt Academy's day-to-day marketing, branding, communication, and promotional activities. The Coordinator supports student recruitment, family engagement, development, community visibility, and internal communication through social media, website management, graphic design, photography, videography, and campaign implementation. This is an execution-focused position. The CEO and designated district leaders establish organizational strategies, priorities, and messages. The Coordinator develops and distributes the materials and content needed to implement those priorities accurately, professionally, and consistently. The Coordinator works closely with Principals, the Director of Development, the Executive Director of Family and Community Engagement, and other district leaders. These leaders retain responsibility for their programs, events, partnerships, and outcomes. Essential Responsibilities Marketing, Recruitment, and Communications

• Execute student recruitment, enrollment, re-enrollment, and district marketing campaigns established by leadership.

• Create promotional materials for school programs, achievements, recruitment events, family activities, and community initiatives.

• Draft newsletters, announcements, press releases, campaign messages, and other communications for leadership review and approval.

• Track campaign activity and engagement and provide regular reports to the CEO and appropriate district leaders.

Digital Media and Brand Management

• Manage official district and school social media accounts using an organized content

• Create and publish graphics, photographs, short videos, reels, announcements, and student or staff

• Maintain and update district and school websites in coordination with the leaders responsible for the

• Ensure consistent use of Exalt Academy's logos, colors, fonts, messaging, and visual standards across communication channels.

Photography, Video, and Content Resources

• Photograph and provide appropriate media coverage for selected school events, classrooms, programs, and celebrations.

• Produce and edit basic promotional photographs and short-form

• Maintain an organized digital library of photographs, videos, templates, and approved marketing

• Coordinate with outside vendors when a project requires advanced production, design, printing, or technical support beyond the regular expectations of the position.

Event and Department Support

• Provide communication, design, signage, promotion, and media support for open houses, orientations, family nights, recruitment events, community events, and district

• Work with Principals and program leaders, who retain ownership of event planning, logistics, participation goals, and outcomes.

• Support the Executive Director of Family and Community Engagement with family- and community-facing communication while that leader retains ownership of engagement strategy and

• Support the Director of Development with fundraising, sponsorship, donor, and advancement materials while that leader retains ownership of development strategy and relationships.

Communication Systems and Project Management

• Maintain the district's mass communication platform and distribute approved family, staff, and community messages.

• Support emergency communications by formatting and distributing messages approved by the CEO or designated leader.

• Maintain an annual communication calendar and an organized process for receiving, prioritizing, completing, and approving requests.

• Communicate promptly when project scope, timelines, or production needs exceed available capacity or require outside support.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

• Experience managing organizational social media

• Strong writing, proofreading, editing, and visual communication

• Experience with Canva and/or Adobe Creative

• Basic photography, video editing, and website content management

• Strong organization, project management, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

Preferred

• Experience in education, nonprofit, community-based, or mission-driven

• Experience supporting student recruitment or enrollment

• Knowledge of Meta Business Suite and social media

• Bilingual in English and

• Timely and accurate completion of assigned communication and marketing

• Effective execution of recruitment and enrollment

• Current, accurate, and engaging website and social media

• Quality and organization of district photography, video, and communication

• Effective collaboration with campus and district leaders.

The Coordinator is accountable for the quality, accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of execution. The district leader responsible for each initiative retains ownership of its strategy, implementation decisions, and overall outcomes. Physical and Scheduling Requirements The position requires regular travel between campuses, frequent movement during school events, and the ability to lift materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Occasional evening and weekend work is required for selected school and community events.
