SUBSTITUTE TEACHER or INTERVENTION SPECIALIST - K-12 Program for Students with Autism
Positions include full-time or long term/short term substitute teacher.
Term: 2026-2027 School Year
Qualifications and Possible Job Duties Include: • Bachelor's Degree in Intervention Specialist preferred but any certification considered including K-3, 4-9. 7-12 in any area considered • Valid teaching certificate/license, valid teacher substitute license, or willingness to obtain substitute license. • Previous experience in working with students diagnosed with Autism preferred but not required • Work effectively with children diagnosed with special needs and behavior challenges in an alternative educational program • Work effectively with a variety of related service personnel in providing educational programming to students diagnosed with ASD • Provides for individual differences through an individualized educational program that is evidenced in daily planning, class activities, and assessment goals • Provide appropriate educational activities and opportunities for children with a goal of enhancing their educational, social, and emotional growth • Maintains effective communication and collaboration with administration, district of residence, and families concerning matters related to students in the program
Salary: Salary schedule placement commensurate with experience.
