English Teacher – Catholic Central High School – Grand Rapids, MI Start Date: 2026–2027 School Year Help lead our students to be bold, excellent, and holy At Catholic Central, we believe a great Catholic education begins with the people who deliver it. We are seeking an English Teacher who brings strong content knowledge, a student-centered approach, and the genuine disposition to mentor as naturally as they teach. What You’ll Do
• Design and deliver engaging, student-centered English instruction rooted in critical thinking, discussion, reading, and writing
• Foster a classroom culture that encourages curiosity, creativity, communication, and active participation
• Support students in developing strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
• Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen curriculum and improve student outcomes
• Use a variety of assessment methods to support and measure student growth
• Integrate technology to enhance learning experiences
• Support students both in and out of the classroom through availability and mentorship
• Contribute to the broader school community through involvement beyond the classroom
• Participate actively in professional development and school-wide initiatives Who You Are
• Hold (or are eligible for) a Michigan teaching certificate in English/Language Arts (BA or BQ preferred)
• Have a strong foundation in English content and instructional best practices
• Are organized, engaging, and relational in your approach to teaching
• Value collaboration and professional growth
