About this role
* Implement classroom routines and support student transitions throughout the school day * Provide individualized and small-group academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support * Assist teachers with classroom management, instructional activities, and adapting materials to meet diverse student needs * Support implementation of IEP goals and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), including data collection and progress monitoring * Foster an inclusive, positive, and supportive learning environment * Assist students with communication, self-regulation, social skills, adaptive functioning, and personal care needs as assigned * Monitor student progress and communicate concerns to appropriate staff members * Participate in timely data services input for Medicaid billing * Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Must have an Associate's degree, 60 college credits specific to Education or Special Education OR Have completed a RIDE approved Teacher Assistant Training class with certificate and passed the ParaPro Exam CPI/Deescalation Training Skills: Strong understanding of child development Experience preferred in behavioral intervention techniques and social-emotional learning learning Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to be flexible within environment Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. (This position is contingent upon sufficient student enrollment.
