POSITION: Middle School Title IV After School Behavioral Intervention Teachers STAFFING: Middle School Staff – Hours to be determined by Middle School Principal JOB GOAL: Supervise and interact with students after school in behavioral intervention program using restorative practices and social/emotional learning to deter recidivism and assist students in making better choices. RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Meet up to 3 days per week as schedule allows or as needed until first late bus following a schedule developed by building administration
• Employ strategies to build positive relationships with students
• Engage in restorative practices and assist the student go through a reflective process to understand the root cause of a conflict and assist the student in understanding and identifying better options.
• Create opportunities for repairing the relationship with the victim(s)
• Develop higher order skills to understand cause/effect relationships
• Work with the student to move forward and not repeat mistakes and offers alternatives to rule violations
• Assist in boosting academic performance
SALARY: Per GTEA Contract - $58 per hour – Student contact rate BENEFITS: No additional benefits are offered John Bilodeau Superintendent
