TITLE: LOGS Warehouse III POSTION TYPE: OPER HIRING SPECIFICATIONS:
Required:
• High School Diploma, HiSET or GED.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Must possess and maintain a driving record in compliance with district motor vehicle requirements for the duration of employment.
• Minimum of five years of experience in a warehouse distribution, order fulfillment or production management or similar work experience.

• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement with strong project management and decision-making skills.

BASIC FUNCTION: Assist with guiding and training personnel with warehouse operations to assure food, supplies and materials are received, issued, and stored according to standard operating procedures. Assist with providing guidance to personnel and establish routes to assure food, supplies and materials are delivered between schools in accordance with Board and DMPS policies, procedures, and objectives. The essential functions as shown below represent only the key areas of responsibility; specific position requirements will vary depending on the needs of the logistics department. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Assist with receiving and properly storing vendor deliveries. Enter items into computer systems.
• Assist with compiling food, supplies and materials requisitioned by district staff in preparations for delivery to district facilities.
• Load and unload items, as necessary.
• Drive delivery vehicles as needed to distribute requisitioned food, supplies and materials to departments and schools in an efficient and timely manner.
• Assist with emergency deliveries as well as special events that happen across the district.
• Ensure the warehouse is organized and the food is properly stored according to established criteria.
• Monitor and maintain food, supplies and material inventories, by completing a monthly inventory.
• Ensure the warehouses and other areas are clean, neat, and orderly.
• Establish thorough knowledge of Logistics delivery routes by riding along with each route.
• Carry out activities to ensure the facilities are properly heated, cooled, and ventilated; report all concerns to the warehouse manager and follow all safety guidelines.
• Perform periodic material handling and vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is maintained properly.
• Provide safeguards to prevent the loss of school property.
• Notify warehouse manager of schedule changes affecting accidents and breakdowns with appropriate forms or procedure.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures according to established guidelines.
• Communicate verbally and in written formats in an effective, concise, and tactful manner while providing exemplary customer service to all stakeholders.

• 12-month Calendar: Current full-time employee has been working for 12 months prior to the job posting date.
• 210-day and 230-day Calendar: Current full-time and Part-time Employee has 12 previous months of actual workdays prior to the job posting date.
• Academic Calendar – Current full-time and Part-time Employee has 12 previous months of actual workdays prior to the job posting date.
• Exception I: Newly hired employees must be through the probationary period AND meet the Bid Criteria- Lateral/Promotion for Non-Interview Positions prior to the job Exception II: Employees in the food service department may transfer at any time without an adjusted probationary period.
• Exception III: PT bus associates may transfer to a PT bus driver position at any time

• Exception IV: PT bus drivers hired prior to September 30 are eligible for a FT driver position the following school year.

• Attendance - sick leave standard is as follows:
• Employees must have ten (10) days or less of family/personal sick leave or “no leave hourly” time used. Scheduled hours in the timekeeping system will be utilized.
• Sick leave will be calculated based on the 12 previous months of actual workdays from the posting date for all employees.
• All authorized Unpaid Leave of Absences (not FMLA approved) will not be taken off the record for this purpose of the bid process.
