This is a Short Term Job Posting for the 2026 - 2027 School Year 245 Day Contract Facilities Job Title: Maintenance Coordinator Assignment: Facilities Department, Maintenance Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent;
• Trade or Vocational School Training, or equivalent experience;
• Three (3) years of experience supporting facility maintenance operations;
• Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems and building control systems (CMMS/DDC);
• General familiarity with fire protection systems;
• Working knowledge of building systems sufficient to coordinate maintenance activities;
• Knowledge of commercial HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems;
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety practices;
• Ability to read and understand basic schematics, operation manuals, and contract documents; and
• Current New Mexico Driver's License with insurable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in facilities coordination, lead support, or operations support roles; and
• Experience coordinating contractors or vendors.

Essential Job Responsibilities
• Provides excellent customer service to school sites, staff, and contractors;
• Reviews, prioritizes, and assigns work orders to appropriate maintenance staff;
• Reviews completed work orders to ensure proper completion and quality control;
• Coordinates scheduling of school events in the direct digital control (DDC) system;
• Coordinates annual maintenance activities in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager;
• Assists with dissemination and reinforcement of safety procedures and policies;
• Upon approval of Manager, purchases supplies necessary to support maintenance activities;
• Assists in developing scopes of work for maintenance and repair projects;
• Coordinates and monitors contractor performance to ensure compliance with scope, safety, and quality expectations;
• Dispatches and schedules contractors for regular and emergency work upon approval by Manager;
• Assists in preparing job estimates and prioritizing materials, time, and labor;
• Receives and accurately records work performed in the electronic work order system, including labor hours, materials, and contracted services;
• Uses assigned tools, equipment, and vehicles safely and in accordance with manufacturer and District guidelines;
• Ensures use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with the Maintenance Safety Plan;
• Assists and advises the Maintenance Director in planning projects and setting maintenance priorities;
• Complies with state-approved New Mexico Administrative Code of Ethical Responsibility of the Education Profession and the RRPS Employee Standards of Conduct and upholds and enforces rules, administrative directives and regulations, school board policies, and local, state and federal regulations; and
• Performs related duties as assigned.
Work Hours: Eight
• (8) Hours Per day / 245-day contract;
• Supervisor may assign additional work hours;
• Employees are required to perform On-Call duties; and
• Employees are required to perform Emergency Call-Back.
