Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes directing and overseeing an extensive real estate program involving real estate planning, appraisal, acquisition, management and disposal of land and structures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).

Major DutiesPlan and organize the broad phases of work, programs, projects, and processes of real estate activities.Coordinate planning, work objectives, and significant program/project issues with that of other program divisions of the district, higher echelons, other government agencies and private interests, through correspondence and consultation.Determine the technical and administrative policies, procedures, and methods of achieving results in the orderly execution of all District real estate program requirements.Organize, control, coordinate, budget and schedule the efforts of the subordinate branches within the Division.Participate in the negotiations for acquisition, management and disposal of real estate involving complex agreements, and dealings with influential officials of corporations and government.Conduct personnel management through subordinate supervisors and/or team leaders.
