Job SummaryYou will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER in the Special Operations Forces Undersea Mobility Division of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
QualificationsIn addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience assigning and planning work for subordinates. Experience administrating performance ratings, promotions, training, recruitment, and resolving complaints. Experience ensuring in progress and completed work of technical specifications, engineering principles, configuration control, certifications, safety, test, and any other customer requirements are met. Experience in resolving technical, scientific, engineering and design problems, and certification problems. Experience conducting technical review and evaluation of design proposals submitted by others. Major DutiesYou will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating of logistics programs objectives and goals.You will ensure documents controlling work processes are maintained in a usable, current conditions, which results in cost efficient execution.You will supervise a typical core team of approximately twelve engineers/technicians/logisticians and tech editors of diverse disciplines.You will ensure resources are available and effective for on-yard and off-yard assignments.
