Job SummaryThis is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes planning and administering an environmental program which includes licensing and permitting requirements, and identifying training requirements; and advising management and operating officials on Environmental Compliance and Conservation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Major DutiesServes as the US Army Garrison, Hawaii (USAG-Hl)/US Army Hawaii (USARHAW) Conservation Branch Chief, Environmental Division, Directorate of Public Works (DPW).Responsible for the development, establishment, and administration of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) program, to include long range work plans and schedules that implement the goals and objectives of the environmental plan.Provides expert professional technical advice to the Environmental Division and Command Group on matters related to environmental protection and abatement, particularly as these relate to training issues.
