Job SummaryYou will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST (COMMAND AND STAFF PROGRAMS) in the Command and Staff Division of HDQTRS NDW.
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Enforcing protective measures for safeguarding information critical to national security; 2) Implementing procedures for marking, safeguarding, dissemination, transmission, transportation, escorting, hand-carry, storage and destruction of classified materials; 3) Ensuring personnel security clearance eligibility is continuously evaluated; 4) Submitting Personnel Security Investigation (PSI) applications through Electronic Questionnaires for Investigative Processing (e-QIP) or official system of record to track investigations to completion and adjudication; and 5) Reporting threats to national security, loss, compromise, electronic spillages, and other violations. Major DutiesYou will ensure all personnel who handle classified information or are assigned sensitive duties are appropriately clearedYou will control and maintain appropriate access to databases (e.g. Defense Counterintelligence and Security Access (DISS), NP2 Portal. Naval Identity Services (NIS), Case Adjudication Tracking System (CATS) for individual security program managementYou will use access control systems to manage classification of materialsYou will decide the security clearance level necessary for access to sensitive information, resources, material, or work sites
