Major DutiesYou will prepare, coordinate, and conduct established classroom trade theory instruction and supplemental on-the-job training for carpentry personnel.Determines the depth of employee's trade knowledge, provides mentoring, and coordinates training opportunities to ensure skill gaps are addressed.You will prepare period updates related to training records and reports to the Trades Development Program Manager; provides periodic assessments for carpentry personnel to determine technical proficiency in the trade.You will schedule and coordinate training for various shops and assures that OJT is appropriate and aligned with training plan.You will operate portable power tools associated with woodworking and carpentry (e.g., drills, routers, pneumatic nail guns, electric hammers, skill saws, portable table saws, circular saws, sanders, joiners) to perform work.You will train carpentry personnel in the best methods for facilities construction, maintenance, and repairs.Researches and implements leading-edge practices and techniques as well as the research of modern tools and equipment.
