Job SummaryYou will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the Flight Safe and QA Engineering Branch (BL41600), Prototyping and Manufacturing Division, Prototype, Manufacturing and Test Department of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.

QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties: 1) Serving as the technical point of contact for Quality Assurance concepts, practices and methods for critical installed/deployed ALRE/SE; 2) Justifying, defending, and negotiating resource requirements and maintaining liaison with Integrated Project Teams for funding requirements; 3) Resolving significant internal/external Quality Assurance policy issues affecting the branch and its projects; 4) Collaborating with fleet users and operating commands to troubleshoot problems associated with materiel quality and liaisons with engineering counterparts to resolve issues and maintain fleet readiness; and 5) Attending Material Review and Corrective Action Review boards established to process material defects and directs the boards' outcome to ensure value added is realized as well as problem root cause analysis is accomplished. Major DutiesYou will generate the Quality Assurance Requirements for Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) Technical Data Requirements requests.You will generate Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDR) for non-conforming ALRE material delivered to both PMD and the fleet and you will facilitate the subsequent investigation and documentation within the Joint Deficiency Reporting System.You will review and recommend approval or disapproval of Source Approval Request packages submitted by manufacturers interested in manufacturing ALRE Critical Safety Items
